I'm usually hesitant to order from a new spot without trying it in person first, but Cooklyn Eats surprised me in the best way. I got the salmon platter with collard greens and jerk pasta as my sides, with sweet Thai sauce--and everything was good. The salmon was cooked nicely, not overdone, and served on a bed of fresh kale. The pasta was flavorful, saucy, and had a nice kick. The collard greens were a little vinegary for my taste, but nothing a little hot sauce couldn't fix. Presentation was on point, and I appreciated the lemon and sauce on the side. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and I'll be ordering again.. matter of fact, I just did. Definitely added to my regular rotation.

Everything was bomb. Wish they had a location in the Bronx but they're worth the travel. I wish the garlic broccoli was a bit softer, was a little undercooked but overall 10/10

I ordered the honey jerk salmon, jerk pasta, and garlic broccoli from Uber Eats, as well as the beef and sweet plantain empanada. The empanada was love at first bite! It was so amazing that I wish I ordered a dozen of them. Just for that alone, I would go back to this restaurant. The honey jerk salmon dish was also really good and I enjoyed it a lot. The broccoli didn't taste like garlic, although I saw some crushed garlic and paprika on it. Maybe this could be made differently like fried and garlic oil to enhance the flavor. Overall, my meal was great and now I have a new restaurant to add to the list.

Cooklyn Eats serves up street-smart soul food with just the right touch of thoughtfulness. It's the kind of meal that doesn't apologize for its richness, embracing the unapologetically fatty decadence soul food lovers know and crave. My $25 shrimp platter delivered exactly what it promised: eight jumbo shrimp, a generous heap of rice, a side of greens, and a sauce--all substantial enough to stretch into two helpings. For the truly hungry, upgrades like adding oxtail to your mac and cheese for $8 feel both indulgent and entirely reasonable. The Uber Eats delivery to my girl's Crown Heights/Brownsville home was smooth--no delays or mix-ups--but the food arrived warm at best, not the piping-hot temperature that makes soul food shine. Room-temperature shrimp and greens miss the mark, and reheating in a microwave would only diminish the experience, turning the feast into something that feels like leftovers. If this is a recurring delivery issue, the restaurant might want to invest in better containers to preserve heat for those who can't dine in. That said, the flavors held their own. The jumbo shrimp were buttery, bouncy, and packed with a garlicky punch that made them unforgettable. The rice provided a satisfying carb base, hearty without being overbearing, and the side of greens was well-salted and comforting, a classic done right. It's the kind of meal that, when delivered in its prime, could rival the best soul food spots in the area. Cooklyn Eats isn't flawless, but it's earnest and filling--a feast worth trying, especially for those who appreciate the care and craft that go into a good soul food spread. Just plan to eat it immediately or be prepared to do some pan-frying if the delivery gods aren't on your side. Either way, it's a meal I'd gladly return for, and one I'd recommend to anyone with a soft spot for soul food that doesn't cut corners.

First time ordering from crooklyn eats and definitely won't be my last. The food was delicious. Salmon tender and juicy. Jerk pasta nicely seasoned as well as the garlic broccoli . I had enough salmon to eat the next day. Shrimp tasted good and you get eight. Mashed potatoes were creamy and nicely seasoned. The corn was good just add a little salt. Overall great dinner and you do get enough for the price. I look forward to trying other items on the menu.

I have ordered on time ... last minute and at different points of my days. The Qaulity of the food is still the same. AND THEY ARE OPEN LAAAATTTEE. Just as CONSISTENT as PEPPAS on Utica. BIG PORTIONS TOO. I order their mac& cheese and put it with Crooklyns chicken dinner. .... they use a lot of salt tho. So, be careful. They should just cook without salt. Anyways, It's rare to find restaurants that make fresh quality " HOMECOOKED " food.

I went to the take out location in East NY and the food did not disappoint! The service was nice, it did take a few to be ready so order in advance. Looks like they have a lot of Uber eats orders. The serving is a great amount you will be satisfied. It's a take out spot but there's a waiting area. Highly recommend the Mac and cheese. One thing: I didn't like the sauce. I had the soy garlic but the chicken is so delicious. It doesn't need sauce.

Cooklyn is surely bringing the chef's kiss to Brooklyn. This has to be one of the best spots to go to for warm, comforting soul food. The chicken tender combo is my go-to order: this time around, I got the honey garlic sauce with jerk pasta and yams. Regardless of whatever sauce you choose, the tender itself is already worthy of the front stage. Crispy breading, tender and moist, and comes with a light zing of spice to support all of the other flavors. The honey garlic gave the tenders more of a tangy flavor which sat nicely with the meat. They're also very generous with the portion size: you get more than a handful of tenders and each tender is almost the size of Dwayne Johnson's left calf. You're not leaving here hungry. The jerk pasta gives the meal a sharp but invited contrast in texture. The cheesy and creamy sauce brings an abundant combination of flavors and adds a bit more to the spice level. Out of every side offered at Cooklyn, I'd put this one in the top three without a doubt. This pasta crowns them the masta's of the rasta! What I especially appreciated was the small slices of green peppers that gave the pasta more of a bite and a small splash of fresh vegetables. Helps me to forget the calories I'm putting on with this one. Among all the spice, the yams bring a comforting sweetness to balance all of the sensory effects. Each piece absolutely collapses under your bite: soft, silky smooth, and delectable. As far as candied yams go, these aren't obnoxiously sweet. Great dessert but also great alongside the salty and savory members of the crew. Nicely executed. Cooklyn puts soul under my fork and knife and lots of life into my soul. You're likely going to be around while they're open since they cook almost every hour of the day, so go see what the hype is about.
